The project consists of the refurbishment, restoration, reconfiguration and extension of the former Grade II* listed London Road Fire Station to create a mixed use development building comprising of hotel, workspace and office, commercial floorspace, residential apartments and facilities. The existing building was designed by Woodhouse, Willoughby & Langham architects, completed in 1906. Deemed to be one of the finest examples of a 20th Century fire station, London Road is a unique Edwardian baroque building.
