The building comprises a solid concrete core along the length of the building with floor plates on either side. The landmark office has a 16-storey distinctive diagrid structure. Below ground constraints create a unique external structure that produces 3.5m high column-free space throughout.

The building, named after Isombard Brunel, Standing opposite Paddington station, is also directly adjacent Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s first bridge – Bishop’s Bridge – spanning the Grand Union Canal.
The building’s design references Brunel’s Great Western Railway, as well as the engineering heritage of the area.
